Summary

Scout Impostor is a fully offline application. We do not collect, store on servers, transmit or share any personal user data. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no network calls.

What the app stores

The app only stores user preferences and state locally on the device (using SharedPreferences on Android and NSUserDefaults on iOS):

Selected language
Theme (light / dark)
Sound on or off
Timer duration
Custom categories created by the user
Modifications to default categories
Last game setup (player names, chosen category, impostor count)
Played-games counter (internal use only — to surface the native store rating prompt at an appropriate time)

All of this information stays on your device. No one else, including the developer, has access to it. If you uninstall the app, this data is removed with it.

What we do NOT collect

No analytics (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Crashlytics, no equivalent SDK).
No advertising or tracking networks.
No access to your contacts, location, microphone, camera, photos or files.
No user accounts.
No data sent to any server.

System permissions

The app only requests the minimum permissions needed to play timer sounds and display content. It does not request sensitive permissions.

Third-party services

The app uses the native store rating API (App Store / Google Play) when the user taps “Rate this app” or after a certain number of games. That interaction is handled directly by Apple or Google under their own policies:

Children

The app is rated for all audiences. It complies with COPPA and GDPR-K regarding children because it simply does not collect any personal data from any user, child or adult.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes its privacy behaviour, this page will be updated and the date at the top of the document will reflect the new revision.
